I think what he is saying is....

He never gave it away, he had it as a trade for an item, the player went inactive and then the trade block was updated and then he lost the money

well, I offered the money to a player who already was inactive, as a cheap trick to bank 
and on the update it was deleted or whatever

and did you delete the fresh carrots? that was my favorite item!!!!
